Flashcards for Apple devices
A simple flashcard app for iPhone and iPad
Create focused study stacks, practise wherever you are, and keep your cards private. SwiftStudy is designed for the devices already in your pocket and bag.
Create cards without creating an account
SwiftStudy lets you start with the useful part: making a stack. Add a question and answer, choose a colour and emoji, then begin studying. There is no registration flow and no advertising between you and your cards.
Your flashcard text, pictures, progress, and settings are stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud, Apple CloudKit can sync that data through your personal iCloud account so the same stacks are available on your iPhone and iPad.
A study loop that stays out of the way
Each session follows one small loop: read the prompt, retrieve the answer, flip the card, and choose Knew it or Didn’t know. That makes the next action obvious and keeps attention on the material rather than the interface.
- Double-sided cards with words, definitions, formulas, pictures, or longer text
- Four mastery levels from New to Mastered
- Progress rings for every stack
- Study streaks and session summaries
- Seven interface languages
Use iPhone for quick reviews and iPad for bigger study sessions
An iPhone is convenient for a short review on a commute or between classes. An iPad gives pictures, formulas, and longer prompts more space. With optional iCloud sync, you can create or edit a stack on one device and continue studying on the other.
The app requires iOS 17 or later on iPhone and iPadOS 17 or later on iPad. The website remains available for product information and study guides; the flashcard experience itself is a native Apple-platform app.
Useful for more than vocabulary
Language vocabulary is a natural fit, but the same workflow works for anatomy, historical dates, legal definitions, chemistry formulas, interview preparation, art identification, and any subject with a prompt and a retrievable answer.
